BREAKING: Auxiliary charged for murder, remanded in prison

auxilliary-chained1EMBATTLED former National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Oyo State, Mukaila Lamidi, a.k.a Auxiliary, has been remanded in prison.

Lamidi, was on Monday morning, brought before a Magistrate Court sitting at Iyaganku, Ibadan, by the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, for a two-count charge of felony and murder.

In a charge sheet number MI/689c/2014, Lamidi, was arraigned for committing felony to wit; murder and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 324 of the Criminal Code Cap 38 Vol.II laws of the Oyo State of Nigeria 2000.

He was also alleged to have caused the death of one Adekunle Oladipupo M. by shooting him with gun and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 319 of the Criminal Code Cap 38 Vol.II laws of the Oyo State of Nigeria 2000.

Mukaila Lamidi, was brought to the court premises by armed poilicemen led by Inspector Banujoh Samson, of the Zonal Headquarters of Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Osogbo.

Magistrate O.K. Omotosho, however, ordered that Lamidi should be remanded at Agodi prison and adjourned the case to June 18, 2014.
