Rotimi Amaechi is not ignorant one bit that's why he had the courage to say it loud.
He has also benefited from this set-up.
Your comments are not factual in the sense that you are trying to justify this senseless coup (Jan-15-1966) like any other coup in Nigeria.
You are not only being selective but deceptive in your chosen words.
Your posted quotes are after the facts.
There was no need for any coup in Nigeria at any given time.
We can talk and resolve our differences.
No one has the right to kill anybody except in self-defence (in my opinion)
By the way Dennis Osadebe was the premier of Mid-Western Region and not Eastern Region.
Can you even compare the corruption in the first republic to the current corrupt government?
Every society is corrupt but the current state of corruption in Nigeria is psychotic.
Given your analogy it seems we have a long way to go in this country.
I said Nzeogwu have other ideas. Nobody supported Coup, not even ZIK of the Eastern region. My quotes are not after the facts, they were instances of historical script that played out in the mindset of some of the leaders and coup plotters? However, you wrote that my view were not factual, which of them please? Is it why was Awolowo jailed? Are u saying that British didn't change the balance of power in Nigeria? I said Dennis was vying for regional recognition. I'm sure you understand that "regional recognition" in this instance means Mid-Western region? I hope you understand that Dennis Osadebe had an alliance with Zik's party afterwards? Why didn't Gowon accept the Aburi accord he signed to? Was Aburi accord agreement not a true federalism?
Corruption in Nigeria is too much, Amaechi is no good himself, I'm an Ikwere man from his hometown, we know his root and some his deals with Odili and as a Governor.
We have a very long way to go, no doubt, as long as a people continue to call for the blood of the innocence when they loose an election. Could you imagine leader telling Nigerians that they are BORN TO RULE. Where's democracy? Only if you know the level of injustice in Nigeria?
