Fred Amata Becomes director of Abuja International Film Festival

Fred Amata is the new director of the Abuja International Film Festival. He’s taking over from film-maker, Fidelis Duker who has been the festival’s director since it debuted in 2004.
According to the festival’s management, Amata will lead the team to put together this year’s edition, which has been themed ’100 years of Films in Nigeria’ and is slated to hold between Tuesday, September 23 to Friday, September 26, 2014 in Abuja. ‎Until his latest appointment, Amata has been an actor and film maker, known for work in Ripples, Light and Darkness and Mortal Inheritance, which fetched him an award for Best Nigerian actor in 1997....
