28 year old Olympian and five-time U.S. national champion Alysia Montano ran an 800m race at the Hornet Stadium in Sacramento, California, yesterday and people are now questioning if it's safe. Alysia received a standing ovation after completing the race in 2 minutes, 32.13 seconds, 35 seconds slower than her personal best of 1:57.34, which she smashed back in 2010 in a race in Monaco. "I've been running throughout my pregnancy and I felt really, really good during the whole process.' Alysia said after the race... Doctors gave her the OK to run but isn't this too rigorous for a woman so pregnant?

First time of hearing a thing like dis. Bt wat if she had slipped and fell face flat?, medically she is ok to run bt dey shld hv considered d odds. I'm surprised she is even jux 35sec slower than her best, she is really good.

Of course it is healthy providing she has no complications. Pregnancy isn't a disability. What is selfish are those women who gorge on chocolates and sit on their backside eating for two. Now that does put a babies health at risk as well as the mother.

Yeah, she could also fall face flat in the bathroom or from the steps. There is also the risk of getting electrocuted while trying to dry her hair or curl it or even put the light bulb on. Lets not forget that she can even get burnt while cooking or have an accident while driving. All these things are quite dangerous to the baby so what do you advise? Excuses! Excuses!!
