Church is business and for any business to grow, it needs strong and persistence advertisement.
In the Bible, Jesus even warned some he healed never to tell anyone..those who still go ahead to tell people did on their own...and after the healing..
what we find today is advert before the healing itself. In Jesus time, healing were done spontaneously not planned or staged as we see today..Followers be wise. read the Bible yourself to get the proper understanding. don't wait only for what the pastor preaches only..make your own Bible studies to be sure what u are being taught is correct or not otherwise u will be sharing in their sins as Revelation 18:4,5 says.

It's simple.
You're asking people to come and drop their money with you. What are they paying for?
In Economics we know people would only exchange money for a commodity or service.
Some more brilliant people have found that a lot of people would also pay for the hope of a commodity or more money (gambling).
A lot of Nigerians are paying for "get rich quick (without having to work)" schemes. If they can't get it in church, they would, just as quickly, visit several juju men to get it.
It is believed that a pastor who can offer instant miracles can also make you get rich quick.
If you show us how quickly you can cure aids, we would pay anything to get ebola cure (even if it's just tap water).

Hurtful but true!  Miracles are for sale.  And with the "belief" that free products do not work - they are ready to spend! spend! spend!

Sorry I meant make an offering.
