A former President of the Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP), Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello) has stated that most of the ladies rushing into the movie industry these days are only in it to gain publicity so as to get wealthy customers for their ‘aristo runs,’ Oga Bello made the assertion during a recent meeting between movie marketers, actors and producers in Ikeja, Lagos. He said, “Many of the ladies in the movie industry these days are only there for the publicity so that they can get wealthy sugar daddies, and they’re the reason why the industry is so polluted now.” However, Oga Bello also clarified that it wasn’t all the ladies in the movie industry who engaged in such practices. According to him, “It is not all the ladies in the movie industry who are guilty of this. Some of them are hard-working. We know those who do things like that; they call themselves ‘Ilefo’ and other names like that,” he stated. Yea, most of them are into prostitution using movie industry as a cover up, that's why u will see them buying mansions of millions of naira under some month of bcoming an actress unlike the male ones who can't boast of much after many yrs in the industry.
