Nigerian health authorities have declared that the country is now Ebola free. This clean bill of health has in no small way allayed the paralyzing fear the deadly disease struck into people’s mind. While the first reported case of the disease was still making the rounds with the country, the contagion of fear that swept through the length and breadth of the country occasioned a radical conditioning of habits related to interpersonal contacts within the populace. Some of the preventive measures hastily assumed by citizens in the wake of the outbreak of the disease have, unfortunately, survived into present times. These measures, adopted out of legitimate concern for personal and public safety, were serio-comically enacted to the utter embarrassment of all those who were unintentionally made the butt of ridicule by the discriminatory actions that seemingly portrayed them as likely carrier of the dreaded Ebola virus. more at http://365merms.com/forum/4239258/Ebola+Virus-+Nigeria%27s+Experience
