Two German nationals have lost their lives in Nigeria after being shot, a foreign ministry official has said.
The victims, who were both engineers with construction company, Julius Berger were reportedly riding on a motorcycle in Abuja when they were gunned down.
“Unfortunately we can confirm that two German nationals were killed in Nigeria last weekend,” a foreign ministry spokesman told AFP.
“The German embassy in Abuja is seeking clarification and is in close contact with Nigerian authorities,” the spokesperson added.
According to German newspaper, Ostseezeitung both victims, one aged 34 and the other in his mid-50s, had lived in Nigeria for years before their deaths last Saturday.

Too bad, this will go a long way tarnishing the name of nigeria in germany. tragic.
Nothing concerns Nigerian who live for Germany after all if we calculate how many Africans who lost their lives in the hand of the German people especially from police, the Skin head and all the radical groups all in the name of racist, I think the Germans are still leading with high numbers.
