I am not aware of any religion that approves adultery, yet the only religion that addresses it is Islam. The punishment of stonening to death of any guilty of it is still the best if only we can see it reasonably. Bcos in the real sense.....  
1. nobody likes public disgrace, as such that punishment will make man to distant himself from it.
2. even if he must commit it, it will not be publicly or freely, infact i am not aware of any rule that allows even married which is what Islam tries to address.. so that others will not be influenced.
3. By takin that punishment, you have been washd off that sin on earth which is better than the punishment in the hereafter (Allah knws best).
4. It will make parents pay attenttion to what their kids do. They will encourage them to get married earlier etc
But in our society today, due to freedom we all preach, girls walk d streets naked, strip dancing clubs are there, gays are seen kissin each other openly, dad could pregnant his daughter etc But on the streets of lagos today, we hv seen pple rushing to contribute tyres to burn a thief by just shoutin OLE!...but nobody has spoken against that....infact its seen as an appropriate act. But of of these thieveson the streets are products of these adultery we all clamour for.

what a religion.  i am sorry if my word might hut some muslims but i just thank God that i was born a christian and i still remain one.  The God i am sarving is a merciful one who knows how to deal with his subject when the commit any offence that does not mean i am encouraging anything but remeber that what you call bad may be right in other part because we make this laws.  do not be supprise that does rich ones among them do things that are worst than what does two did.  those that stoned this man to death have even commited more ane worst sin than the two of them because they have shed human blood which God does not take lightly with.  they should better look for a way to ask for forgiveness for their own good.

Adultery is committed by a married man and a married woman. I really feel most pple here are looking at it on the surface. That act is really a killer disease. We hv read several times that a man stabbed another man bcos he caught him with his wife, we hv equally read stories that woman pours acid on another woman bcos she is going out with her husband. It actually has spill effect. And pls do u knw that if a married woman is caught doing that act will automatically start doubting even his own children. The chain reaction is unlimited when lookd at critically.
In china corruption carries death sentence, here pple hav been killd for coup plotting, armed rubbers hav also been given death sentence. Pple hav been caught with human parts and handed over to the police, but the next min they walk our streets freely. why did we not wait for God to judge? It is my view that the only reason y this is makin a headline is bcos its an ISLAMIC LAW..Ladies and gentlemen of the hse, pls look at it critically, if u r a leader today,hw would you judge such an act if its been brought to you to judge considering the effect it would hv in ur domain?.............
