A combined team of Air Force, Army and the Police over the weekend killed a notorious armed robber who has been terrorizing residents of Pakata area of Ilorin after engaging in a gun battle that lasted for nine hours. An army officer in the process sustained severe injury. The combine team stalled vehicular movements while the main road around Government Girls Day Secondary School was closed to traffic as the security operatives engaged the hoodlum in the gun duel. It was learnt that the suspect who is believed to be in his thirties and a Police Officer stays in an apartment with his aged mother and wife from where he do carry out his evil acts. According to an eyewitness, “In the ensuing crossfire, the suspect was said to have been gunned down, while an unidentified man of Nigeria Army among the security team sustained wound on his arm as a result of bullet fired at him by the suspect.
“The area became tension soaked while the gun duel, which started around 2am of yesterday’s morning lasted till around 11am.”

you people seriously need sense o.....instead of acknowledging the effort of the officers you resulted in blabbing.........is 2am in the morning they are talking about not afternoon which means that the day was still dark and you hardly see the victims but through the sound of the gun they may be confuse if the security forces are laying ambush for them......the hoodlums are not one person ok......comment reasonably or hold you peace....beneno.....osarobo62.....victorstic1......always known for controversial comments
