Harrysong has revealed the price of his songwriting skills, which is in excess of a six-figure sum.
The singer/songwriter is signed to Five Star Music, and has churned out hit songs including, ‘Suya’, Better Pikin’, and ‘Ofeshe’.
Harrysong is also credited with being the brain behind KCee’s hit songs, ‘Limpopo’, ‘Pull over’ and ‘Turn by turn’. A fairytale hit story for the singer came from his song, ‘Mandela’, a tribute to the late African reformer, which hit over 40 million downloads.
The singer has disclosed that he charges as much as N2 million to write hit songs for musicians.
The singer told Punch: “I feel privileged to be a song writer at this time in Nigeria’s history. I remember I used to write songs for N10, 000 while at Ojez because we wanted to be heard. Now, I get between N1m and N2m to write songs. People pay for my services as a song writer because they know how much they will make when the song becomes a hit.”
Harrysong recently starred in a collaboration song, 'Feel it (Africa)', which also has input from Iyanya, and labelmate Kcee.
