The Pastor, who is a respondent in a divorce petition instituted against him before an Alimosho Grade ‘B’ Customary court, Lagos by his wife, told the court how he was framed up. He alleged that his wife accused him of kidnaping their children. He said the woman’s action made him to spend some days in police detention.
He disclosed that he was detained for two weeks and he had to pack out of their matrimonial home two years ago for peace to reign between them.
Emphasizing his point before the court, he said : “With my experiences, I do not wish to live with any woman again. What I suffered in the hands of this woman was enough for me. I want to live my life alone peacefully.”
He however denied the allegation made by his wife that he was living with another woman adding that he is still sleeping in a church and there is no way he can harbour a lady inside the place.
The estranged house wife told the court that her husband had stopped giving her money for the upkeep of their children and she has no means of livelihood since her husband had earlier convinced her to stop work and join him in the church because that is where she was called.
The matter was adjourned for further hearing.
