The unknown gunmen who abducted former Secretary to the Federal Government, Olu Falae, are yet to release him. You will recall that they had initially requested for a ransom of N100 million. However, they have now reduced their demand to N90 million. However, his family has only been able to raise N2 million, which they offered the abductors. Unfortunately, the abductors have rejected the money. A family source said At the time they called us on Monday night, they said they could only reduce the ransom to N90m, but we begged them to collect N2 million, which they rejected. “They said they would call us back today (Tuesday), but as I am talking to you. they have yet to do that.” We are hoping for Falae’s safe return.

wat a gwan
"When contacted on the telephone, the Public Relations Officer of the state Police Command, Mr. Wole Ogodo, said the police were still making efforts to ensure that the victim, a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, was released alive", but why can't the Nigerian Police Force, NPF, trace the abductors or kidnappers through the NCC stored "biometric finger-prints" during the cellphones registration exercise nationwide, and what was the purpose of the cellphone biometric-exercise to begin with? But what a country when the Police cannot trace criminals via the phone. Ye ye.

D man get d money to pay but im dey bide im time.. [/quoteAre we really sure the kidnappers are Fulani herdsmen? So, what language do they speak when they call Falae,s family on the phone? Hope some smart guys are not capitalizing on the alleged face-off between Falae and the herdsmen to perpetrate this act? If it is true the herdsmen are behind it, then it will the first time they are embarking on kidnap? The security agencies should go after the kidnappers because no one is above the law.

Shame on Yorubas....Imagine if Olu Falae were a hsa flni chieftain, kidnapped in Kano by suspected yoruba ritualists..
so this cowards called yorubas has not yet engaged this fulanis in serious warfare. yorubas are barking dogs throughout history, they did the same thing during abiola june 12, all of NADECO members exiled themselves through cotonu via UK. even the elderly ones took ben Johnson. tufiakwa

That's too much
I wonder why most kidnappers go scot free in this era of high-tech system of telecommunications.I wish enough was done to make kidnappings anachronistic. My heart goes out to the family of Chief Olu Falae, they're indeed in trying times.
