Commercial Motorcyclists, Okada Engage Policemen In Gun Battle In Lagos

Commercial motorcyclists in Lagos State went rogue as they engaged in heavy shooting around Oke Afa area with the State’s Police.
According to information gathered, the clash emerged following resistance of arrest by the okada riders who were plying roads from which they had been banned by the state government.
It was learnt that a patrol van of the police had been burnt down by the okada riders said to be largely Hausa.
We also gathered that the state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, ordered for reinforcement for the team that came under attack.
