With less than 1 day to the deadline for Bank Verification Number, BVN, about 26 million account holders still haven't  registered to protect their money.

The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has said no extension would be granted after the deadline expires and customers who still haven't registered will have no access to their money or any transaction in their account.
According to CBN, the registration window will still be open after tomorrow, but unregistered customers will not be granted access to their accounts.
According to Vanguard, a CBN Official, who claimed that the exact figures of registered bank customers would not be ready until next week said that “less than half of total bank customers have been captured as at Monday this week.
He said:
“Field reports show that there has been increased surge in the number of registrations per day since last week, but it is clear that we may not exceed 50 percent by the deadline.”
Managing Director, Ecobank Nigeria Plc, Jibril Aku said:
“There will be no extension of the October 31 deadline. All efforts have been made by the committee, CBN and Nigeria Interbank Settlement System for bank customers to obtain their BVN.
“The customers, who fail to meet the deadline will not be able to operate their accounts until they comply.”

If d registration window will still be open after deadline then why block their account. Deadline is deadline chikena. Meanwhile I hope they are considering those living outside nigeria.

the CBN have tried by giving some diaspora a chance to register

but it was not enough.
they had one registration center in London, but it was too far for many people to go there.

my advise is, CBN please open a center in every country around the world.

Why all Nigeria things have problem? why blocking account because of VBN number, they are all thieves, maybe they want another way to eat another peoples money, remember people in abroad are suffer before they get their money, u cannot be in Nigeria and block their account and use their money to feed ur family, this war will more than Biafra war. All our leaders are thieves. they are talking about yahoo boys, why not arresting all leaders looting billions of Naira, There are many ways to upgrade Nigeria banking system, but when there is no equipment, no light, and Nigeria has money, wasted bunch of leaders. Everyone are looking after Buhari that maybe God really sent him to deliver Nigeria but we are totally disappointed in him with bunch of thieves in his cabinet. it is NIgeria leaders that give room for this white men to insult us, we have better things than them in Nigeria but our leaders make us to be slave under the white people, see how Trump insulted all Africans especially Nigerian, very bad, please ur excellency Buhari, help Nigeria to have light, when there is light all other good things will follow.

simple logic.......if u want to protect someones account and the person isn't ready or don't have the opportunity to comply with ur condition yet....why would u freeze the persons account?.... this is just a move to legally steal from the masses and render some people useless for just no curse.....this BVN doesn't have to be deadline process....it have to be a nonstop process.....banks only have to prevent anyone who does not have BVN from making any transaction until the person is registered and have his/her BVN simple
