religious is not evel as far as i know , but its the so call peoples who proclaimed that they were religious that were preaching evils and violencies

Those talking about religion that they know nothing about should better keep their talks to themselves.
You dont go about castigating other peoples' religion.
One thing is for sure you always find fanatics in everything and those are usually the extremists.

Someone, I don't recall who, said, "The problem with religion is that people confuse it with belief in God".

Organised religion is not evil, but it has a potential for evil that has been realised all through history. When people place the organisation above the teachings - as with Catholics and Shi'ite Moslems, for example - then it's a short step to the corruption of power, intolerance, and oppression.
