A source at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has linked former Governor, Peter Odili of Rivers State and a once convicted top member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George, with receiving N100 million each from the former National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd.). According to reports the EFCC source disclosed that the largess to the two PDP officials was diverted from funds meant for the purchase of arms in order to better equip the Nigerian military in its campaign against Islamist terror group, Boko Haram. Instead, the N200 million paid to the two PDP stalwarts was designed to ensure the re-election of former President Goodluck Jonathan, who lost the presidential election held on March 28, 2015. A panel appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari is currently investigating the reported theft of more than $2 billion from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in the name of purchasing arms. Nigerian law enforcement agents have so far arrested twenty one persons in relation to the arms purchase scandal.

Mr. Bafarawa, whose detention was approved by a court order, has stated that he received N4.6 billion from Mr. Dasuki for “spiritual purposes.” Our EFCC source said their agents were still questioning the former governor to explain what was meant by “spiritual purposes.” saharareporters. N4.6billion. Goodluck indeed

If we read dis story well , u will see dat there is no truth. Jt a political fear. Dasuki is jt a tool to indict other silent politicians so they won't wake up one day to support pple they don't want. Seriously I prefer to get fact than to conclude. Hmmmm let's see as it unfold. So many pple will sing and it will affect those in power. Dasuki case is not accidental but an avenue to get d enemy. Seriously I see a foul play. All d other names mention from d north have not been arrested instead new unknown names are coming out. Hmm I refuse to be fooled. Pls follow all dis case since yesterday and u will understand wat an saying.

My dear Winace, very thing you said are all true but who is going to talk and which Nigeria Leaders have the boldness to mention names. The fact is that they all know what they are doing, covering each others ass and pretends not to know to deceive those that needs to be deceived.

No wonder Bode George said he would go on voluntary exile if Buhari won 2015 Presidential election. We can now see the good reason why Dasuki was prevented from going on some flimsy Overseas Treatment. The man wanted to disappear into thin air as he did when the goggled General Abacha came to power; seem his uncontrolled appetite for our commonwealth is his undoing. When he returned to Nigeria after the demise of Abacha, Obj landed him a lucrative appointment at our Mints, and from there on his luck continues to shine, a dog that cannot control its appetite will eventually eat poison.
