It appears the lingering fuel scarcity will soon come to an end as the Federal government has approved the release of N407.07 billion as subsidy payment to oil marketers. A statement from the Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun released today, states that the money will be used to pay up subsidy arrears as well as pay up subsidy for the year 2015.

Good news but waste of resources. That money could have been use for infrastructure. This will continue until the refineries are working to full capacity. The present administration has to make the refineries work Or stop the subsidy and use the money on salary increase. l might be wrong but this is what l think. The economist can help better THIS DIRTY DEAL OF SUBSIDY NEED TO STOP

Why did it take so long in the first place? Must we suffer before the needful are done? Anyway, am not surprised because it took five months to select Audu ogbe, Ameachi, Fashola and co as Ministers

Providing adequate refineries is a laudable idea and i subscribe to it, but removal of subsidy would cause famine in the land considering fluctuation is payment of N18k minimum wage by States. When subsidies are removed, lot of things go higher in price.
