If Nigeria is still a democratic society, an alleged corruption or looting by a government officer is not considered a criminal offense that requires arrest and detention without bail. That is the point people are making. Also, in a democratic society, an accused still remains innocent till proven guilty by a court of law; not as considered guilty by the president and his bodies. That is what the populace is concerned about. Every arrest recently points directly to the president; so what branch of government is he operating from? The three organs of govt was established to create checks and balances; if all the powers of the government resides with one branch, there must be unchecked excesses; that is what the people are worried of. We are not running a dictatorial govt. please; otherwise many people would stop identifying with this crazy country we call home.  If anybody is suspected, linked with or considered to have looted the public money, charge the person, prosecute the case and allow the court system to do its work. If one court cannot be trusted, try the case at another court to get better result. But stop abusing the laws of the land - that is if we are still in a democratic society.
