The running mate to the late Abubakar Audu in the last Kogi governorship election, Abidoun Faleke has maintained that he will not be available to serve as deputy to governor to Governor Yahaya Bello.
He described the inauguration of Bello as the state governor as ‘rape of Nigerian democracy’.
Faleke and Bello have been at loggerheads following the decision of the party to nominated the latter as the late Audu’s successor.
Reacting to the inauguration on Wednesday via his Twitter handle, Faleke insisted that God of justice will surely give him victory.
He vented his anger in series of tweets.
“What is happening in Kogi State is a rape on our democracy and I want the international community to take note.
“Those who have moral problems, those who cannot turn their eye to financial inducement will always have problem relating with the people.
“Whatever I am doing is on principle. I am doing all this because I believe we won the election.
“This is not about tribal fight, I am not against the Ebira nation but the process that produced Bello as a supplementary governor.
”This tough road we are passing through is to set a standard for the upcoming generation. We must be able to stand for the truth at all time.
”I was told d MC at d inauguration said the people voted for Audu but their god voted for Bello. Pls tell them our God is a God of justice.
“Let it be known that I was never a running mate to Yahyah Bello and INEC has accepted the fact in its reply to my petition.
