The alleged abductor of Ese Oruru, the 14-year-old girl from Bayelsa state, Yinusa Dahiru aka Yellow was on Tuesday, March 8, arraigned in court. Yinusa Dahiru was arraigned before the Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa on a five count charge of abduction, illicit sex, unlawful carnal knowledge, among others. Yinusa is alleged to have abducted Ese from her home in Bayelsa 8-months ago, and subsequently took her to his home in Kano, where he forcefully converted her to Islam and married her. He is supposedly 25 years old, although there have been conflicting ages given. Media reports say Ese Oruru is 5 months pregnant. She has since been reunited with her family.

I see..Pls. Dey should nt sweep dis case under d carpet,wat hv his age got to do wth dis..if he is mature enough to plan a route on how to kidnap that gal..den he is mature enough to bear the consequences..issokay

Is he being charged alone? What happens to all those who aided the kidnap in one way or another? Is aiding and abetting a crime is no longer an offence in Nigeria?

Its not possible. He is been tried in Yenagoa, the girls home town not in the North.
