The Federal Government has announced the appointment of Dakuku Peterside as the Director General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA). This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Director, Public Relations, Ministry of Transportation, Yetunde Sonaike, in Abuja on Thursday. The statement said the appointment was with immediate effect. Peterside ran an unsuccessful bid to be the governor of Rivers state under the All Progressive Congress, APC in April 2015 governorship elections. He is also a former member of the House of Representative from 2011 to 2015.

Yes..... The APC led government is now a ground for political compensation..... appointment is now being given not on the ground of eligibility and competency but on the ground of paying of party members.... Nothing good has rarely come out of this Government ..... Que Sera Sera
