Months after the ban of one of his songs ‘Shakiti Bobo’, YBNL boss Olamide has been slapped with another ban by NBC (Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation). NBC banned Olamide’s song ‘Don’t Stop’ off his 5th studio album, Eyan Mayweather for its vulgar lyrics.
In a statement by the NBC, which is the government agency in charge of broadcasting regulation, the song was banned from being played on the airwaves for its ‘obscenity, being indecent, vulgar languages, lewd and profane expressions like ‘wa gba ponron’, ‘I just want to hit you now’, ‘je kin wo be…” Recall that the song ‘Don’t Stop’ has been trailed with controversy since it’s release following claims by D’banj’s producer, Deevee that Olamide jacked part of the song from them.
I have been reporting for several years now and I am very interested in visual news reportage with strong inclusion of photos and video multimedia.
