Kano state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje yesterday in his state flagged off the construction of 462 hand boreholes across the state to mark his one year anniversary in office.

HOW CAN YOU CALL THIS ACHIEVEMENT. THIS IS VERY PATHETIC. A STATE GOVERNOR SMILING WHILE COMMISSIONING THIS KIND OF THING. WHAT A MIDDLE CLASS INDIVIDUAL CAN DO FOR HIS COMMUNITY. I DON'T KNOW WHERE THIS COUNTRY IS HEADING TO.

Water availability is necessity not a luxury. It's so annoying seeing a whole Governor of a state celebrating construction of borehole. Ceremonious commissioning doesn't exist in western worlds, all you hear is Authority Inspection and Approval then the project is ready for use. Only God knows the logistics involved in moving the governor to that event not to talk of officials in attendance.
