Its very sad that majority of those who commented on this post never understood the write up
Journalism in Nigeria is nothing to write home about-When i read the caption, i was shocked but after reading the writeup, i realized the 2k was for seminar and registration. How many will go out for seminars without paying more than 2k. People like so much awoof-do you want to undergo the seminar free of charge?
You have to buy knowledge, its as good as going to school and believe you me, without paying your tuition fee, you ll be sent home.

Journalists, do the right thing, People read and digest!!!

chuches are meant to be charity organisation, preaching gospel shouldnt be base on money, what about people that cant afford 2000? i'm not against it but i think it should be free.

LAGOS (AFP) – A Nigerian pentecostal church on Saturday announced that it was charging a fee of 2,000 naira (13 dollars, eight euros) for connecting would-be lovers on Valentine's Day.

The House of God Fellowship Church, located near a Lagos prison, is charging the fee to defray the cost of a seminar, marriage counselling, music and entertainment during the love event, spokesman Michael Uchebuaku told AFP.

"The event is purely for singles. There was a large turnout of would-be lovers when the 'Love Connection Valentine's Singles' event was staged for the first time last year," he said.

"Start the new year by meeting your Mr or Miss Right," states the church in an advertisement in The Guardian newspaper on Saturday.

"Hurry up and register because this might be your last chance to find your husband or wife. To register, pay 2,000 naira to any branch of Union Bank," the advertisement said.

Uchebuaku, a public relations professional, said that under a deal with the church, profit from the event will be shared equally between the church and himself.

End time !

Hmmmmmm.....Any story from Naija is always a Unique one.
Getting a husband is easy and as simple as ABC...
In Nigeria Ladies are looking for rich guys so they end up falling in love with what the guy have and not the guy....
At the end once the guy discovers that he look for another cos his money can buy.
Let's learn how to develop love to the stage of Marriage and not searching for ready made.
This is one of the Biggest mistakes that our African Queen have been making.
The guy besides you Be him a poor guy take him and work things together and you'll find love in it.
