The singer took a view different from RCCG general overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who advised youths not to marry wives who cannot cook, among other things.
Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) singer, Banky W, has stated that he has no qualms about marrying a woman who cannot cook. This is following a recent comment by the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who advised youths not to marry a woman who lacks culinary skills.
This was his reflection on the rampant cases of failed marriages, which he attributed to marrying for the wrong reasons. Though an insightful observation, Banky W has expressed that he does not share the same sentiment as the spiritual leader. According to him, due to his love for cooking, his wife does not need to bother herself about such obligations, as it comes naturally to him.
"I cook. My wife doesn't need to know how to cook. I actually enjoy it", he said. The singer revealed this on an episode of Moments Nigeria, a programme shown on Ebony Life TV.

why you go want wife wey know how to cook when you know say na her kpomon you wan chop and when you tire you dump her go for another one so even if she nor sabi cook means nothing to you na may the kpomon tight be your concern

I doubt if Banky was referring to pastor Adeboye comments on women who don't know how to cook. U know, we have fake bloggers and journalist more than d real intellectual ones dis days who will beat news and screen it well b4 bringing it to d public consumption. Dats wat dis poster is trying to do. Merge two different topic to make a post. Well Banky, even though it does not have anything to do wit pastor comment. My brother u are on a long thing. Don't follow dat guy who made a T shirt to sell to make money claiming he didn't marry his wife to cook. Time shall tell.

A BIG round of Applause to u Mr Banky W for your comment that your wife doesn't need to know how to cook. If all Nigerian men are like u, marriage will be great. It will be less divorce. Anyone can do the cooking, as long as you enjoy doing it. Believe me, your wife is the luckiest woman on this planet earth. She is very very lucky o. If I wasn't married, I would have love to be your wife. Imagine the men that will not contribute any money to the family, the wife is the breadwinner in the house but still want a wife that will prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner for him. All u hear is cooking is a woman's job. Well Mr man, hear this and hear it good,paying all the bills in the house is a mans job too, do u get it?
