Simone Manuel , 20 from USA made history when she won a gold medal in the women’s 100m swimming freestyle. She recorded as the first black woman to win a Gold medal in an individual event in swimming for the United States.

Do you believe in working to achieve anything? You think it is by being black-Hard work was put in to achieve that feat starting from a Government that knows what it is to invest in sporting infrastructure. This is not Your Olympic team that got stranded even b/4 they reached the venue.

If OUR ancestors had not SOLD you - that would be an AFRICAN nations GOLD MEDAL.
That's not the problem but due to very bad leadership of government in nigeria,she might have been one of those runs babe due to hardship in the country,if she wan'st sold to where there are facilities to train for everybody and not only for the rich families

Our Niger Deltans can swim for hours under the water to bomb underground pipelines but will never use their talent for something better like going to Olympic.Sadly, most of our talents are only to do evil. whats a shame!
