Edo Pensioners Take To The Streets To Protest Over Unpaid Entitlements (Photos)

Retired civil servants in Edo state, on Monday, defied the heavy rain to protest the non-payment of their pension arrears by the Edo State Government. The aged protesters, under the aegis of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners, carried placards bearing inscriptions some of which read, “pay us for God’s sake”, “give us our pensions benefits,” “pension benefit are economic and human rights of retirees”.
