A grieving husband, Chris Adams, has taken to social media to demand justice following the death of his pregnant wife, Victoria Paris, who reportedly died during childbirth after being denied a life-saving **blood transfusion** at a private maternity clinic.

In a deeply emotional post shared via Facebook, Adams recounted the harrowing events that unfolded at Standard Maternity Clinic, located in the Borokiri Church Hill area of Port Harcourt. According to him, his wife, who was seven months pregnant, experienced severe abdominal pain and was rushed to the hospital — the same facility where she had successfully delivered her previous children.

Adams said Victoria underwent a Caesarean section which was medically successful, but she suffered excessive blood loss afterward and urgently needed a transfusion. Shockingly, the attending doctor, whose name has not been publicly disclosed, allegedly **refused to administer blood**, citing religious reasons tied to her Jehovah’s Witness faith.

“The doctor said she doesn’t do that in her hospital because she is a religious person,” Adams wrote in his post. “My beloved was killed by the doctor’s religious belief.”

The bereaved husband further alleged that the hospital operated under poor conditions, claiming that electric power failed during the surgery, and staff had to scramble to start a generator in the middle of the procedure. He also accused the clinic of misleading the family into signing a consent form for the surgery without full disclosure of the risks involved.

“First, you forget your religion before running a hospital,” Adams lamented.
Quote
“I NEED JUSTICE FOR MY BELOVED.”

The incident has sparked outrage online, with many Nigerians demanding an investigation into the clinic’s operations and questioning how personal faith can influence life-or-death medical decisions in a professional setting.

As of the time of this report, neither the Rivers State Ministry of Health nor the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) has issued an official statement regarding the incident. Efforts to reach representatives of Standard Maternity Clinic for comment have so far been unsuccessful.

Meanwhile, Adams has vowed to pursue legal action against the clinic, insisting that no family should ever have to experience such a preventable tragedy.

Why did you open the hospital when you know that there bound to be situations that warrant blood
