In Ondo: Police Officer Shoots Okada Rider Dead Over Alleged N50 Bribe

In another case of extra-judicial killing, a police officer attached to the Ondo State Police Command allegedly gunned down an okada rider on Sunday for refusing to part with N50 bribe.

Social media user Singapore Nicolas Uchenna Odoh shared a clip that shows an abandoned police van being vandalised by an angry citizen. In the clip, we hear angry people lamenting that Nigeria has no functioning government if a human being can be wasted for as little as N50.

Singapore wrote on his timeline:

“This just happened now between Omifun and Ore in Ondo State. Police killed an okada man, abandoned their vehicle and ran away because they want to collect #50 from him.”
