I grew up watching mothers feed their babies like this, and I always felt uncomfortable with it. Now there is a genuine debate on the appropriateness of this kind of feeding method.
So lets discuss. Is this child abuse? Or better still is this method of feeding an infant proper?
I have been reporting for several years now and I am very interested in visual news reportage with strong inclusion of photos and video multimedia.

It looks cruel, but it works and I have never heard of or seen a child choke to death because of it. Most of us would av been force fed when we are babies and we are still alive now, so why the fuss. There is a saying in America, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Bottom line is it works, why stop it?
