Members of the indigenous People of Biafra are in jubilant mood following the latest victory by Nnamdi Kanu against the Federal Government. Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu has defeated the Federal Government at the ECOWAS court today.
The ECOWAS court sitting in Abuja today dismissed the application filed by the federal government asking that the suit filed by the Nnamdi Kanu be quashed.
According to Channels TV, the suit by the IPOB leader is seeking his unconditional release and 800 million U.S dollars in damages.
The Federal Government in its application had asked the court to dismiss the case because it is a subject matter before the Federal High Court and the Appeal court and as such, it constitutes an abuse of court process.
Presiding judge, Justice Micah Wright-Williams, in his ruling, however dismissed the application for lacking in merit, because according to him, the ECOWAS court has the jurisdiction to hear cases of infringement of human rights.

This type of comment show how shallow some pals could reason. First of all, he is not the person making/negotiating/estimating claims amount to the law suit. In international arena, the lawyers go for the high money. And as u might want to know, he hired high profile legal team to handle the case. Such team does not beat below the belt. And for your info, the figure is in millions not thousands.

Kanu is not about Igbos alone is about freedom of Nigerians...for unlawful detention compensation must be paid...................I'm not an Igbo I believe his fight it's all over the world state are agitating for self independence , Example Texas/ California, Scotland Quebec...why is Nigeria different, because we have people in government who doesn't know how things works.
