Juventus are in a very strong position heading into the second leg of their Uefa Champions League semi final match up with Monaco on Tuesday night.
Juventus:
Juve won the first leg in Monaco 2-0 last week thanks to a goal in each half from Higuain. Monaco did have chances on the night but Juve kept another clean sheet, making it five shut outs from five knockout stage matches to go alongside four from six in the group stage. Juve are unbeaten in their last 18 Champions League home fixtures. Their last appearance in the final came in 2014/15 when they lost 3-1 to Barcelona .
Juve remain in control of the Serie A title race where they need just one more win from four remaining games to be sure of being crowned champions. Since the first leg Juve drew 1-1 at home to Torino, a result which spoiled their perfect home record in the league this season after 17 staright wins.
Monaco:
Monaco have been amongst the goals away from home in earlier knockout rounds. They had lost 5-3 away at Manchester City in the Round 0f 16 before turning the tie around with a 3-1 home win to progress on away goals. In the quarter finals they beat Dortmund 3-2 in Germany in the first leg and 3-1 at home and if they are to reach the final they will likely to need at least another three goal show.
Since the first leg Monaco have taken another step towards the Ligue 1 title with a 3-0 win away at Nancy. They remain three points clear of PSG plus they have a game in hand and a better goal difference.
