Naija is not as bad as d foriegn media most of d time paint us to be.....
there a lot of countries dat are worse in all ramification compared to Naija.

Wot if I tell U dat there's a place in Nigeria (where I am) where there's 24hrs power supply without d use of generator.

wow, that's really sad to hear, i mean i support my family financially so i guess that's why they're not really complaining..one of my brother that was supposed to come here refused and never went for his interview saying he's o.k and doesn't  want to come, but yea like u said something gotta be done to make naija better..I just hope that the governments are also willing to do so too.

My father is from nija...and i have never been there but it hurts me to the core when ppl talk about my race and my country. Dont worry were all gonna make our home better ^_^

i think people see the western countries as where all the money is. to be honest you don't need to live in those countries to be happy. i guess its just poverty and the lack of opportunities

I think the saying "different strokes for different folks" stands true in this case. If you come from a comfortable family or wealthy family, you may not see the big deal about seeking out greener pastures. I came to the United States for the education, but I'm not frightened at the thought of going home because life wasn't so bad for me at home. Some people though might beg to differ if their situation in Naija is hard and they have a chance at something better in a different country. I think if you can, however, this would be the time to go back and reclaim our country. That way the next generation won't be looking to jump ship as well (so to speak).

Hey Guyz,
I just want to know why a lot of Nigerians want to travel abroad?
A lot of Naija people will do a lot just to assure a Visa and ticket and hustle any way they can just to leave Naija...Honestly is it that bad?
I nor dey Naij thats why I'm asking but my brother lived here for 10 years and decided to move back with his whole family last year and he is soo happy.
A`beg make una reply ooo

Nigeria is the best if you happen to have a job but outside that it can be hell in naija without a job. At least here in the States there are jobs for you to start with until you reach your desire goal. Also the power sector and road systems is frustrating but if you have money to burn gas to power a generator then Nigeria is the place to be.

Men you must have had a crappy experience. I live in the US now and yeah, I've had some pretty hard crappy times. Naija is not that bad... there's some truth to what you say.
