A security guard, Biodun Shotonwa, is currently in trouble for allegedly macheting two lovers having sex in a dark spot at Shasha, Lagos.
The guard has been charged before the Ejigbo Magistrate’s Court for assault occasioning harm.
The suspect was alleged to have macheted a 46-year old woman, Olajuwon Ademulegun in the leg while having a quick sex with her former husband besides a PSP vehicle parked along Banmeke area of Shasha at about 10 p.m.
Even though the woman denied that she was having sex with her ex-lover, the guard insisted that he caught them having sex.
“I saw both of them holding each other after the man parked his car. They went behind the PSP vehicle and because the place was a black spot, I went there with my torchlight and cutlass. When I flashed them, I saw them having sex,” he told P.M.NEWS.
He was charged with assault, an offence contrary to sections 355, 390 and 509 of the Criminal Code, Cap.C.17, Vol. 2, Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2003.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge and the magistrate, Mrs. M.B. Folami, granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties.
The sureties must show evidence of means livelihood and their addresses must be verified by the court.
The matter has been adjourned till 14 April, 2010 for hearing.
The accused was remanded at the Kirikiri Maximum Security Prisons, Apapa because he could not meet the bail conditions.
