2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Nigeria vs Cameroon (01/09/2017 at 7PM)

Nigeria will play their third game in the 2018 World Cup qualifying series, against Cameroon at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.

The Super Eagles currently top the group, four points ahead of the Indomitable Lions with four fixtures left.

A win for Gernot Rohr’s men would see them open up a seven-point gap, ahead of the reverse leg which will be played in Yaounde three days later.

When both countries last faced each other in a friendly game played in 2015, the match finished 3-0 in favour of Nigeria at the Edmond Machtens Stadium, Brussels with Efe Ambrose, Moses Simon and Odion Ighalo on target.



The two sides have clashed in 20 matches including competitive and friendly games. Nigeria won 10, while Cameroon got four wins. Six of the 20 past encounters ended in draw.

The match in Uyo is scheduled to kick off at 5pm (West African Time) on Friday, September 1, 2017. Gates open at 11am in the morning.
