
Unknown robbers have reportedly broken into a Jumia store at Alakahia, in Portharcourt, the Rivers State capital, and made away with all the goods in the store.
The robbers gained entry into the store which is located adjacent the University of Portharcourt Teaching Hospital through the roof. According to a reported eyewitness statement, the robbers broke the ceiling in the toilet from where they gained access to the store.
The robbers are said to have carted away all the goods in the store leaving behind cartons and waterproof packs.
Jumia, formerly known as Africa Internet Group (AIG), is an ecosystem of online marketplaces and classified websites and applications created in 2012 with presence across 23 African countries. The different lines of services are Jumia Market, Jumia Travel, Food, Jumia House, Jumia Jobs, Jumia Car, Jumia Deals and Jumia Services.

Interestingly, an instagram user @iam_marv commented on the story saying the robbers were able to get in because there was no bible inside the store.
