Barely a week after a groom, his bride, and their friends were kidnapped in Ondo state, gunmen have caused quite a stir in again in the community after abducting some travelers from their vehicle on the road.
According to reports, the victims were traveling from Lagos to Abuja in a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) but abducted by gunmen when they got to Ondo state. However, the Ondo State Police Command said it rescued three of the new kidnap victims on Saturday, while two others, who were abducted last week, were also freed. The Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr. Femi Joseph, said policemen swung into action after being informed about the activities of the kidnappers.

“We were able to rescue Moses Yakubu and Mark Shaibu, who were kidnapped while going to a wedding last week.
“We also rescued three female, who were kidnapped last Friday on their way to Abuja. Efforts are ongoing to rescue the remaining victims. We are gradually closing in on the kidnappers. We are going to get them very soon.”
