There is this neighbour of mine that always flog hell out of their animal each time the animal does what they don't like and when i asked them why,they told me it's to make the animal behave normal...Thinking about what my neighbour replied me with,I notice i normaly see mallams flogging cows to direct them but can the flogging make them behave normal like we humans?

Cruelty to animal is wrong. Here in Jamaica there is a law against it and if anyone deemed it wrong at the time you can be charge. An animal should be care for just has how we care for ourselves. If it happen that this animal is what helps to provide for the home and it is treated in a bad manner the owner will always be suffering. Even the bible is against this cruelty "Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the corn" (Deuteronomy 25:4) Proverbs 12:10 ESV / Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.
Next time you see your neighbor doing this just remind him that God who provides for the him is also watching the way he treat the animals that are dumb.
