One hundred and five Nigerians were deported from Libya on Thursday for alleged various immigration and travel offences they committed in the North African country.
Our correspondent saw many of the deportees walking along the airport road, looking for taxis to take them to their various destinations. The deportees, who were brought into the country through the international wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos, arrived very late in the evening.
They were brought into the country in a chartered aircraft marked Air Memphis with registration number AAW-5012.
Officials of the Nigerian Immigration Service at the MMIA said the 105 deportees represented the third batch brought into the country from Libya in the last three days.
