Tottenham will be desperate for the win to realistically keep alive their hopes of reaching the last 16 of this season's Champions League
Mauricio Pochettino’s side lost their first two games against Inter Milan at the San Siro and Barcelona at Wembley.

And while a draw or loss would not see Spurs’ knockout hopes completely diminish, only a win will realistically do if they want to keep up with Group B frontrunners Barca and Inter.

The north London club face the Dutch side back-to-back so will be hoping for a maximum six points and will also be hoping Barca can do the same to Spurs’ rivals for second place Inter.

Mark van Bommel (PSV): “Winning means you are still in the group, but if you lose it’s almost over.

“Spurs have a lot of quality players and weapons to win games, but we have that also.”

Mauricio Pochettino (Tottenham): “I think it’s so important the Champions League game against Eindhoven if we want to be alive in the competition. It’s a must-win game.”

Tottenham duo Christian Eriksen and Mousa Dembele are available to start the Champions League clash at PSV Eindhoven.

Eriksen had missed four games with an abdominal injury before coming on as a late substitute at West Ham on Saturday, while Dembele also came off the bench after recovering from a thigh problem.

Dele Alli (hamstring), Danny Rose (groin) and Jan Vertonghen (hamstring) continue to miss out.
