The match between Kano Pillars and Rangers International of Enugu ended in violence this evening at the Agege Stadium.

Rangers were leading 1-0 when the referee awarded a freekick to Kano Pillars. This led to complaints and the game was stopped for a few minutes. Kano Pillars captain, Rabiu Ali took the freekick and scored an equaliser for Pillars.

However, Rabiu Ali confronted the referee after the final whistle was blown and this led to mayhem as Kano Pillars fans invaded the field and attempted to attack the match.
