Bittersweet, There is an Old saying that goes: "Never Argue With A Fool, For A Fool Will Always Be A Fool Even When He Knows He Is Being Foolish!" Men with such Chauvinistic, Antiquated Beliefs that Women don't deserve to be pampered or as Moneyinbrakemi put it "petted" are suffering from a lack of affection and no doubt LOVE. Psychologically there is a HUGE DISCONNECT as evidenced by what he is preaching. Probably if you delve back into his childhood Love, Affection, etc was absent from his home. He was more than likely raised in a home where his mother was treated Brutishly like Property by his father. Hugs, Kisses, and Natural acts of affection probably weren't discussed, exercised or even an option. So with an individual like this who is devoid of reasoning and subscribes to an antiquated backward mentality you can only TRY to educate him and PRAY that he stops reading the BIBLE UPSIDE DOWN and truly understand what the BIBLE teaches about LOVE and also that WOMEN aren't property to be kicked and slapped around. If he is married which I sincerely DOUBT then I pity the poor lady (Shaking my head).
