45-year-old man defiles seven-year-old girl

Going by an initial report of a medical test conducted at the General Hospital, Badagry, Lagos, seven-year-old Janet (not real name) seems to have lost her virginity.
 
Besides, there is fear that the girl may have contracted a segxwally Transmitted Disease following a putrid odour coming out of her honeypot.
 
This problem is allegedly brought on her by a 45-year-old mechanic, Mr. Sunday Jacob, who was accused of having carnal knowledge of the girl at different times at his Ajangbadi residence.
 
But in his defence, Jacob, a widower, who has been arrested by the police, merely said, ”She is too small now. I was just playing with her.”
 
Asked to explain why he derived pleasure in playing with a seven-year-old girl, the suspect admitted that, ”I merely fingered her and immediately I did not like it.”
 
When confronted with a medical report, which showed that the ”play” went beyond fingering, Jacob, a man who has an 18-year-old daughter, said, ”She (Janet) was the one that kept on coming to demand N20. I did not finger her many times; I only fingered her just four times.”
 
He, however, said he would not like another man to ”play” with her daughter in the same manner she ”played” with Janet.
 
Lagos police spokesman, Frank Mba, on Wednesday, told PUNCH METRO that the police became involved in the matter after the girl’s mother, Teressa Moses, reported the matter at Ilemba Hausa police station.
 
It was gathered that the Janet’s mother got to know about her daughter’s ordeal when Jacob threatened to beat the girl’s nine-year-old sister for undisclosed reason.
 
According to Mr. Solomon Omofo, who spoke on behalf of the family, ”He (Jacob) told grandma (Janet‘s grandmother) to warn her (Janet‘s sister) and threatened to beat her anytime he sees her. After he left, grandma called the girl and inquired from her what the problem was.
 
”She then said that when she was peeping at Jacob‘s door, she saw the suspect playing with Janet. Jacob became furious when he discovered that Janet‘s sister was peeping at his door.”
 
After the revelation, Omofo said, ”We discovered that it was true that the man had been having sex with the girl. She told us that he put his penis inside her honeypot. We discovered that he used N20 and biscuits to lure her.
 
”The mother usually travels to buy goods she sells. Whenever she travels, she usually leaves her kids in care of the grandma. The kids usually go to the house Jacob is living to fetch water; that was how he got her.”
 
The PPRO, Mba, confirmed that the initial medical examination suggested that the girl had been tampered with. The report sighted by our correspondent reads: honeypot Examination, 1. Hymen not intact, 2. Foul odour from honeypot. It was signed by a medical doctor whose name is being withheld.
 
The police spokesman said that the police would go for an extensive medical test to confirm if the odour was an indication of the presence of STD.
 
”But let me say that Jacob‘s action is morally reprehensible and the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Marvel Akpoyibo, has condemned it in strong terms. It is also punishable under Section 218 of the Criminal Code applicable in Lagos State, and I quote: “Any person who has unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl under the age of 13 years is guilty of a felony and is liable to imprisonment for life with or without canning,” he said.
