Why is it that some Nigerians are so easily insultive and abusive?  Some nigerians are so easily abusive especially when it comes to argumentative issues. Can we talk over this issue together and tell those involved to learn how to be patient?

@ agatex, poverty is everywhere globally and this is not about respect while we are still suffering from harsh economy but it has to do with individual moral and behavior.

Not only the elders do this but also the children as a result of what they often hear from almost everyone in todays society. For example, words like....your head is not correct, I no go better for your enemy, and above all, in our movies. Look at some bad words coming out from our actors and actresses of nowadays compared it with the white movies.

I was in lagos some weeks ago and saw children and elderly people fighting and coursing one other and using abusive words. Though nothing realy we can do about it but we on naijapal can still caution and control ourselves not to use any aggressive and abusive words on anyone no matter how the aggressors do so as to let our children learn from us and caution them too not to use abusive words. Thank you.

its not really upbringing,   but its more of  economic hardship and poverty.

as the adage says,  " an hungry man is an angry man "
u cant expect a hungry person, or a man wu has nothin in his pocket to
start smiling or laffing all the way with sb wu offends or aggravates him.
its not possible .

i dnt agree with u agatex..... people are suffering from so much economic depression.
if u labor so hard from morning till nite, to earn some few change, and sb just comes along
and snatch all u laboured for from, u , tell me , wont u become aggravated, with any other
person that dares cross ur path. ?
