Team News
Chelsea
After a thumping 5-2 away victory, Chelsea are going to flag off their UEFA Champions League campaign on Tuesday against the Spanish giants Valencia at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has been very impressive since the beginning of the season. But the initial results did not back his boys performances. Moreover, the condition of the defence has been a danger for the Blues legend. The situation has been catalyzed with the absence of the in-form Italian left-back Emerson and the comeback man Antonio Rudiger’s new groin injury in the last match. But, the new 3-4-2-1 formation provided a little stability in Chelsea defence as we saw in the last match.
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard handed a few boosts ahead of the game followed by a few concerns too in the pre-match press conference. According to the Blues gaffer, N’Golo Kante’s situation is being scrutinized as he is on the verge of returning. So, we might expect the presence of Kante in this match too. Apart from him, the English youngsters including Callum Hudson-Odoi and Reece James had their training with the squad. So, they might feature as well. But Frank might have some worries followed by the injured Emerson, Antonio Rudiger and the in-form forward Tammy Abraham. So, Olivier Giroud or Michy Batshuayi is going to get a start here.
Possible Starting Line-ups:
Chelsea (4-2-3-1):

Valencia
Valencia had the 5-2 scoreline too in their last game against Barcelona. But unfortunately, the scoreline was not in favour of them. Moreover, their season so far has not been up to the mark as they can find themselves at the 13th position on the table with only 4 points from their four games. The situation got worse followed by the sacking of their manager Marcelino. So, the Spanish side will be keen on turning things around and removing their initial shakiness under their new boss Albert Celades. Meanwhile, Lampard’s boys will be keen on registering their first home victory for this season.
Valencia’s newly appointed manager Albert Celades will have some changes in the first team. The inclusions of the Russian sensation Denis Cheryshev and Uruguay forward Maximilliano Gomez can find their names in the starting line-up.
Possible Starting Line-ups:

Key Players:
For Chelsea, their key player list will include the ex-Barcelona winger Pedro Rodrigues. Apart from him, the Belgian international Michy Batshuayi and the French forward Olivier Giroud can be crucial for Chelsea. In addition to that, the American youngster Christian Pulisic will definitely be looking for his first Chelsea goal. For Valencia, the Frenchman Kevin Gameiro can cause some serious threats to the Chelsea defence. Apart from him, the 28-year-old Russian Denis Cheryshev can also ask some questions to the Chelsea defence.

Last Meeting:
These two sides met last time in the Champions League eight years ago back in 2011 when they ended with a 1-1 draw in the first leg and in the second leg, Chelsea registered a dominated 3-0 home victory followed by a brace from the legend Didier Drogba.
