Nigeria recently partially closed its border with Benin in an effort to stem the smuggling of rice. It then went on to close its land borders to the movement of all goods from Benin, Niger and Cameroon, effectively banning trade flows with its neighbours.
Comptroller General Of Nigeria Customs, Col. Hameed Ali (Rtd.) have said it in an interview that

Ofcourse it is...when Mahatma Gandi closed Indian borders to importation of all clothes and clothing materials, he said if Indians cant produce what they wear, they should go naked..now India is one of the largest producers of clothing materials world wide...so if we cannot produce what we eat as a nation, let us eat sand. Finish.

.                          Yes you are right but is there provisions for all this? no good road no light the little you will produce the same useless gvmnt will send their illiterates task force to harass citizens police will still do their own hmmmm

if govt realy want encourage local manufacturas he should stop DAngote and others from importing Rice,closure of border is just to enrich some people

Farming will be better if Govt improves security. Hershmen are going about killing farmers, destroying the produces. Please are so scared to be a farmer
