Veteran Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade was conferred with a doctorate degree at the prestigious Igbinedion University for recognition of her works in the Nigerian arts industry. It is worth noting that several Nigerian celebrities have been getting such honorary doctorate degrees based on their monetary donations to the academic institutions and universities but unlike those kind of honorary degrees, the degree received by Omotola Jalade was witnessed by the country's ex-president, Goodluck Jonathan and his wife. It was also witnessed by the Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki and many royal and traditional rulers. We have some new photos from the convocation ceremony, checkout the photos below:
