The residents of Akure were wakened by a rude loud explosion in the early hours of this morning (around 1am) when a suspicious explosion hit the city and no one has been able to explain the cause of the explosion. The initial thoughts were that it was an asteroid that has fallen onto the earth but unfortunately we have no way of ascertaining this as Nigeria currently lack the potential to study such geographical occurrences outside teaching the theoretical aspect in the classes. An unknown truck conveying explosives caught fire around 1:00am and exploded along Akure-Owo Road and the vehicle is currently buried in the sand.
