Nigeria has recorded 348 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 11,166.

This was disclosed in a tweet late Wednesday by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), stating that Lagos continues to be the epicentre of the pandemic with 163 new infections.

According to NCDC data, other states and their infection rates are FCT-76 Ebonyi-23 Rivers-21 Delta-8 Nasarawa-8 Niger-8 Enugu-6 Bauchi-5 Edo-5 Ekiti-5 Ondo-5 Gombe-5 Benue-4 Ogun-2 Osun-1 Plateau-1 Kogi-1 Anambra-1.

The specialist health agency noted that so far, 3,329 patients have been discharged having recovered from the virus, while the death toll shot up to 315.
